Gothic and vaudevillian — the visual landscape of this highly presentational version of Matilda is exaggerated as if seen through the eyes of a child. Saturation and Contrast go up to 100%. The scary is incredibly dark, shadowy, and sinister while hopeful moments become a rainbow dreamscape.
